Experience the stillness and beauty of the ancient redwoods by candlelight.
Redwood Parks Conservancy (RPC) invites the public to the 35th Annual Candlelight Walk Through the Ancient Redwoods on Dec. 6 and 7 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. each night. This popular fundraising event benefits RPC and the parks it supports, including Redwood National and State Parks.
Attendance is limited to 300 guests per night, and tickets tend to sell out quickly.
The event, held in partnership with California State Parks and the National Park Service, features a walk through Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park’s ADA-accessible Revelation Trail, lit by luminaria. Local storytellers will share winter, holiday, and redwood-themed stories. After the walk, participants can enjoy hot cider and cookies at the visitor center. A silent auction will also be held to support RPC. Pets are not permitted.

2024 Christmas Trucker’s Parade 2nd Saturday of December
Enjoy the evening spectacle of huge trucks adorned in holiday lights. A Eureka tradition for over 30 years, the Christmas convoys range in size from 50 to 100 rigs. The 18-wheelers stretch as long as 60 feet, including some with special parade additions that might be tacked on: bandstand platforms, dancing reindeer, flying fish, you name it.
Some trucks have been covered in more than 40,000 lights, requiring three generators to run them. Starts at Redwood Acres Fairgrounds - turns right on Harris, right on I Street, right on 7th, right on Myrtle, right on Hubbard, ends at Redwood Acres.
